What are the motivations for cataloging USB hub details? --Dave (talk) 01:40, 15 May 2013 (EDT)

no major motivation, but having the following may be useful in some instances..

• chipset info for controller specific quirks
• number of controllers used for 7 port hubs, useful for finding true 7 port hubs for those daisy chaining large amounts of devices (as USB has a max. 5-hub chain limit)
• number of transaction translators for those still using USB 1.x devices
• manufacturer / build+design quality information
  • may be useful w/ (likely) eventual aggregation of reviews from other sources
